Constructed Journeys

German Silver, 40 x 60 inches, June 2025

The work, Constructed Journeys, is composed of network of intersecting geometric metal lines, reimagining the overlooked forms of empty pharmaceutical blister packs. By rendering these disposable forms in metal, the work gives permanence to something inherently temporary. It underscores the idea that the paths we traverse—whether physical, emotional, or medical—are not linear but assembled piece by piece, shaped by circumstances beyond our control.
The composition, with its angular overlaps and layered beams, draws inspiration from built environments—evoking the visual language of bridges, scaffolding, or fortified frameworks. It suggests movement, support, and restriction all at once—underscoring the paradoxes embedded in journeys shaped by dependency, healing, and bodily limitations.
The work thus becomes a material cartography of a lived experience—mapping the intimate architecture of care, constraint, and continuation.
